## Component source

Every component release declares its source license in its metadata (`license.source`). That declaration is shown on the component page, returned by the API and the MCP server, and included in the bundle receipt. Check both the release declaration and the approval status below before relying on it.

## Assets

Images, icons, fonts and other files with the `asset` role can have their own license entries, separate from the source license. Each entry names the asset path and its license, and includes attribution and source where the license requires them. When you use a component, keep the asset license information and provide any required attribution.

## Default license

The components in the catalogue, and the scaffold used to create new ones, currently declare the MIT License in their metadata as the proposed default. That default is pending owner approval before public release.

## Website and editorial content

This website's own content, including documentation, articles and preview screenshots, is not covered by component licenses. Terms for website and editorial content are separate and have not been published yet.
